Supporting Homeless Families Video
In February, 2012, The National Center on Family Homelessness, the Congressional Caucus on Homelessness, and several partners co-hosted a congressional briefing: Starting Life Without a Home: Supporting Homeless Families in Nurturing Their Infants and Toddlers. This briefing brought increased attention to infants and toddlers in homeless families and the impact of homelessness on early development. It also highlighted approaches for serving these young children and their families. View a short video of the briefing.

OCCAC will be visiting the far reaches of our county this year with DSHS’s Mobile Service Office. Our goal is to get a better understanding of who needs and how many people need services due to homelessness so that we can craft a truly responsive plan to reduce homelessness and to demonstrate the need to funders. Check our Facebook page for updates on where and when we will be close to you.
